Something Unbelievable Happens When This Artist Picks Up His iPad

Hyperrealistic art is hard enough to comprehend when someone uses traditional materials, but the fact that some artists are able to achieve this effect with digital tools like iPads is somehow even more difficult to grasp. While there are plenty of naysayers out there who turn up their noses at both hyperrealism and digital painting, there’s no denying the fact that this artist’s digital rendering of Emma Watson is incredible.

Nehaal Gonsalves has a penchant for creating portraits that make people’s heads spin, and this piece is no different.

His process is something you have to see to believe.

(function(d, s, id) { var js, fjs = d.getElementsByTagName(s)[0]; if (d.getElementById(id)) return; js = d.createElement(s); js.id = id; js.src = “//connect.facebook.net/en_US/sdk.js#xfbml=1&version=v2.3”; fjs.parentNode.insertBefore(js, fjs);}(document, ‘script’, ‘facebook-jssdk’));
